No time!

15 Sep

Goal tonight?  Bed by midnight.

Exhausted.  Too many late nights.  (Up late reading.  I’m a dork.)  Too much junk food.  Too many annoyances.

Hence, crazy short post.

Skipped gym, twice in a row.  Plans Wednesday.  Possible plans Thursday.  Yom Kippur Friday.

See?  No time.

Holding back on things I want to say to people.  Trying to be more like Foster.  Failing miserably.

New girl at work has Masters from NYU.  Jealous.  Feeling like a slacker.

Money problems.  Always.

So, this is adulthood, eh?

the thing about NYU is, you could have that, too, along with a mountain of debt or really crazy-rich parents. It sounds prestigious, and I really wanted to go there as well, but it isn’t that amazing to actually attend and graduate, since they kinda take anyone willing to pay that much, give or take.

not that i’m insulting someone with a master’s because I know it was hard to get, no matter where you go. but i thought that might help a little, re: slacking.

PS – a masters won’t get you OMG AWESOME JOB. at least as far as I can see.

PPS – let’s just move to NYC. then we won’t feel like such slackers because we’ll be livin’ the dream!

I had Foster e-mail his friend in NY asking to let us know if any jobs come available at his company. I’d love to be there, ASAP.

And with NYU and other prestigious schools … I always assume that the people who go there come from rich, privileged families. I’m sure that can’t be all true, but the money involved is so mind-blowing. I only applied to SFA because I didn’t have the money at the time for multiple application fees! I don’t even know what it would be like to have gotten accepted to various schools. *ugh* I’m in full-on “woe is me” mode, today.
