I feel so Jerseylicious

1 Sep

Do you see that chick’s hair??  It’s like The Rachel on crack.  Awesome, right?  My entire plan for the evening was to come home, eat some leftovers (whole wheat spaghetti!), watch a little Jerseylicious, clean (my exercise replacement activity), and read a new book I picked up that I’m ridiculously excited about.

It’s pushing midnight, and I haven’t gotten nearly as much done as I intended.  I did take the dogs on a short walk, had the spaghetti, and somehow managed to watch just one episode of Jerseylicious.  Of course it took me about three hours to watch that episode.  Maybe next time I should be a little more specific when I make my list of things to-do.  My evening was interrupted by a text and then a (long!) phone call that all started with my sister-in-law and mother demanding I hurry up and have a baby.  I’ll save that whole thing for another post, though.  Suffice it to say that spending a large chunk of my evening on the phone really cut into my reality TV time.

Oh, and my neighbors hijacked the washer and dryer.  Truly, nothing tonight is going as planned.

I would, however, like to give myself a major pat on the back for avoiding crap food and snack machines today.  I’ve had a ton of fruit, healthy grains, and protein.  In other words, I rock.

I also may have chastised Foster for coming home with food from Popeye’s and no extra biscuits for me, but again … that’s another post entirely.

Clearly there’s no real point to this.  I’m yet to crack open that book, but my living room now smells like lavender.  I’ll take what I can get.
